November 26th: I've been getting a bit of work done on the site recently. I've updated the 'About Me' page which only leaves the 'Tech Integration' section as the last major section to work on.

No worries. Updates will be coming frequently!

November 22: I'm getting some work done on the Student Example and the Web 2.0 pages. Just a beginning. More will come with time.

Nov. 14th: As you can see I've changed the Menus on the site from a simple vertical menu to a more robust drop-down horizontal menu. I'm also including new sections such as Student Work Examples, Tech Integration, Web 2.0, About Me & Check This Out. Many of these will be under construction during this week, but I've already put a pretty fascinating new music video that you should watch in the Check This Out section.

In addition I've also changed the Class Pages by making them more interactive for the students by incorporating a Blog Design instead of the older static pages that I had incorporated. This new design gives the students more opportunity to interact and ask questions or make comments within the site.  If you are looking for 1st Quarter work & assignments you can find the old pages under the Archive section by clicking on the black & white picture of the old style classroom.

Nov 13th: Just wanted to inform everyone that I'm sweating out putting up a major update for the 2nd Quarter here on the website! Check back often to see how things are progressing!!

I just want to say THANK YOU to all the parents that I met last night at the Secondary Open House here at ISG. I just wanted to let both students and parents know a few things 
that are happening this week. I'm working like a dog on creating:

• Class Email Lists 
  
• Creating Class Gradebooks for Engrade
  
• Sending out private Engrade invitations to Students and those parents whose email I was supplied.
  
• Creating Class Parent Email Lists
  
• Getting the first 2-3 Grades uploaded to the Students Gradebooks

Welcome to the primary website for our IT Classes this year at The International School in Genoa (ISG). You will find links to the individual class pages on the left and links to other additional information.

This year the IT classes at ISG will emphasize new and emerging Web 2.0 technology such as Weebly, Glogster, Quizlet, Dipity & Wordle (to name just a few as an example) and a host of other new and exciting sites. We will emphasize and complete our work with Google Apps so it will be essential for all students to have a Gmail Account, not only for the Google Apps themselves, but for class communications. 

This year we will also be incorporating Engrade with all our classes as a central site for both parents and students to follow their progress, check their grades and ensure that all work is turned in and accounted for. Students will be receiving Engrade invitations within the first week of school which will allow them to log into their own private account for their class. Parents can also be emailed their own invitation to the site if they supply their email address.
